Colour Puddle

At a serene poolside, a little whimsy (those bluish and white striped cushions) meets a niggling formality (those matched palms) in tropical perfection. The wooden walkway leads to a jungle of mangroves and streams. Effectually the infinity puddle, teak chairs and chaises from Sutherland, their arms and legs unusually refined. Chairside drum tables are from John Rosselli.

Colour Family Room

In the family room, a Vietnamese bed — with a box beneath it for toys — makes a large and gracious coffee tabular array; striped fabric on the cushions and bolsters of the cane-back slipper chairs comes from Old Earth Weavers; pillows on the Irish gaelic linen sofa are Cowtan & Tout's LeBrun toile.

Color Bedchamber

In a plantation-like master chamber with a stenciled frieze, antiquarian pier tables are the perfect bedside height for the unusually high British Colonial-fashion bed; the cloth of the canopy's valance is from William Ashby, and the bed brim, in Hinson's Dottery Blue on off-white, matches the custom society chair and ottoman. The blueprint of the Stark rug is echoed on the chief bathroom flooring. Custom wall color is glazed and combed. Bell designed the decorative Gothic trim.
